If I could only have one "foodie" book it would be: "Adventures in Greek Cooking, The Olive and the Caper" by Susanna Hoffman. As much a cultural oddesy and food history book as an expose of the greek love of food. Buy one, you will not regret a penny.

Like the Spanish Tapas, and the Italian Antipasta, the Greek Meze is a traditional welcome, a little bit of tasty food and a drink to go with it.
For most people, retsina is the wine of Greece, but there are many others. For Fairtrade people it has to be a Fairtrade labelled wine and the choice is abundant.
